Our School
At drive-rite, we realize that all teens don't learn at the same rate. The State of Ohio requires that the teens are given a minimum of 8 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. For some, this is an adequate amount of time for the instructor to give the teen student a good foundation to build upon. Eight hours is not enough time to learn how to drive though. The fifty hours of driving required by the State with ten hours being at night, is intended only as a minimum, or a starting point. The fact is ,the more guided practice a teen has, the better chance that they will have the skills to respond to an emergency situation. Many parents and teens find that additional instruction with a certified instructor is the most comfortable and appropriate learning environment available. We, at drive-rite, offer additional lessons in one and a half hour increments to complement the 8 hour behind-the-wheel program. We offer a winter driving lesson that's designed to give the new driver experience driving in winter conditions with the guidance of a licensed instructor and the safety of dual controls.
In the years that drive-rite School has been operating, we have educated and trained over 6,200 students. Drive Rite students have a 96% first time success rate, one of the finest success rates in the state! Quality Counts at drive-rite! We have a upto-date classroom to allow more room to train students and a better environment to educate students in the classroom. We invite you to stop and see the classroom or stop by for a 'sample' class session (in 'real' time). For maps and directions to our new driving school location click here
Summer and Holiday vacations allow us to have morning and evening classes, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 10:00-2:30 with a 1/2 hr break and 5:00-9:15 with a 15 minutes break. Our 'School' schedule runs Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:10 PM with a 15 minute break (dismissal at 8:25 PM) for three weeks. We are also exploring other means to benefit drive-rite students - like additional driving schools and locations to accomodate our student drivers. Stay tuned – More information to follow!
Our Instructors
Our five instructors (4 of which are women - nothing to fear) currently have 196 years of combined years driving/instructing experience and experience really counts. We only hire the best driving instructors that we can find and train them for sixty hours (20 more than the 40 hours required by the State of Ohio). At drive-rite, driving quality counts (classroom and beind-the-wheel) and all of our instructors are driving instructors who 'really' care about our students. |
